Vortech question re: electrical short
Guys, I've got yet another niggling problem with my Vortech - this time it's a short to the chargecooler water pump. I've got it isolated down to the water pump itself and so I was wondering if it's possible that a short could develop as a result of the pump itself going bad in some way.
Bottom line - I just wanna know if I need to go ahead and get another pump (I'm hoping maybe someone else here has had this happen).
I am so tired of this shit. I get the car running perfect for a few weeks and...poof. I guess I have a hobby, anyway. Too bad I'm an overworked/underpaid USAF doctor. Yahoo.

Last time I checked USAF doctors were officers
Check for damaged wiring to the pump. There are a lot of places that can cut the insulation. If the wiring is not damaged, It's still possible to have a shorted pump. Has the pump ever worked normally?

Yep, it was working fine until last week. Then I noticed my AIT's seemed too high and checked it. Found the burnt fuse pretty quick but now I can't figure why it's shorting. Next step will be to pull the pump and visually inspect it I guess.
