Why do all the Comptech kits i see around have more of a smooth look to them and are chrome? Are there different blowers for the kit or am i missing something....

It's a newer version ct-engineering/comptech kit with the novi 1220SL blower.

If its oil fed then youre fine, but if its the SL version you need to change to oil fed asap as they have been insanely prone to failure. The change is a quick turn around from paxton and pretty cheap I believe... hell even do a novi 1200 while youre at it

Ya this is what iv been reading... what can i look for as signs the sc is about to go??? Im driving 400 miles to go look at it thursday. How much is a paxton 1200 and do you think i will be able to sell my used 1220 blower by itself very easily?

Paxton will take that 1220 in as a credit towards a 1200. I think they offer anywhere from $500 - $1000 for it on trade.
