Default Vortech or Comptech

Ok I dont' mean to stir up the pot on this touchy subject....

But if price were the same between both units.... would that make the comptech the obvious choice???

I dont know much about superchargers, but from what I've gathered:

Comptech is easier to install and works "smoother" than a vortech install for the most part, but it doesn't produce as much power as the vortech.

Vortech is harder to install but produces more power out of the box and is capable of more power as you upgrade the pulleys.

I'd rather have a Vortech. I am getting the Comptech because I got it at a great price but the Vortech makes more power and has more potential.

The wholesale prices are similar, and I went with the Comptech anyway, for a number of reasons. Even if you're paying retail I don't think you should let price be the deciding factor. It's too easy for that kind of decision to turn into dissipointment.

Price isn't the issue. Ican get both units within $40 of each other....

But one of the major points vortec guys point out, is tha tit is cheaper.

But that's not the case for me. So I just want some input that isn't swayed by price.

On a side note..... How much do these blow unit weigh? Does it affect balance of the car? ride height? Or it doesn't weigh enough to matter?

i decided comptech just because i have heard lots of good things about their customer service, plus they only work on hondas/acuras. i have several authorized dealers near me so i know the service will be there....should be F/I in less than a week. !!
