Default very low boost

Hi guys another quick question. I had the pulley changed like you had told me to hooked up a boost guage and it was only reading and hitting 1.5 to 2pds boost? any suggestions why this is happening? the belt is tight so I am at a loss

What size is the pulley on the supercharger? The '04-'05s require a smaller pulley because of the lowered redline.

Gotta be at full throttle max RPM to get the peak boost reading.

the SC might need a rebuild , thats if your getting that much boost at redline. At least thats what comptech told me when i called and asked a few questions. That if full boost isnt achieved like it should by redline theres something wrong with the actual SC. Just a thought

What gear were you in? Rpms? The 04/05 won't see "full" boost until redline in 4th. I've had questions regarding similar boost situations. My belt didnt' seem to be tight enough. Before the belt tightening, only 4.3 in 4th redline, after, 5.2 in 4th redline. I'm back down to 4.2 again. BUT, I dynoed at 286 whp and 186wtq on a dyno jet at 4.2 psi. Comptech tells me that my gauge may be off since I'm making similar power to their car.

"Full boost" is rpm dependent and not restricted to 4th gear. It should get to max boost at redline in any gear. The problem is with seeing it on a boost gauge if you are in a lower gear that goes by too quickly. That's a "measurement" problem and not a problem with the boost in lower gears.

Comptech sent me the smaller pulley and I got the rpms up to 75 to 7800 in first< second, and third.
