i'm pretty sure aem or k&n makes a filter big enough to go around the stack.

I'll pick one up, I use a screen in front of mine anyway, I can still keep the screen.

stuffing a filter in there completely negates the purpose of the velocity stack... screen would be the way to go, but you might as well not use anything....

one of my turbos managed to suck a screen into the impeller... never again will i use a screen mesh...

When upgraded velocity stacks on my R1 i saw a gain. Also it uses a filter.
I'm sure if you find a good method to add a filter to it w/o restricting air flow you can see gains here as well.
