Default Vacuum but no Boost

I have my AEM digital boost gauge hooked up directly to the intake manifold, it only reads vacuum, and when in boost, it goes to zero and stops. I tested the gauge with a tire pump and it will show boost. Is this just a bad place to hook it up? Suggestions please!

Well I cant prove it, since the gauge won't work, but the butt dyno says yes.

That source will work to feed a gauge. Are your datalogues reflecting any boost?

what happens if you blow into the hose connected to the gauge?

I can make 2psi doing that.

I used a tire pump and created 18psi.
OK, so now I am thinking I have a leak, but there are only 2 places for a SC to leak, from blower to aftercooler, and from after cooler to throttle body/intake... and everything is tight as can be? Am I missing something?

Belt slpping maybe? Even then I would think you would make SOME boost.
