Default Upgrading CTSC

ok so my novi 1000 is due for a rebuild but i want more power so i was thinking about upgrading blowers. i see that SOS makes a conversion plate to upgrade to the 1200. what is the max psi that the 1200 can put out? i was thinking about going N1500 also since they share the same bolt pattern. My current setup up is

novi 1000 with 3" pulley
URFMIC
rc 550 injectors
Greddy EMU
synapse bov
walbro 255
UR 2.5" hfc
tanabe hyper medallion

my new setup will be

Novi 1200 or 1500
URFMIC
Haltec or AEM v2
ID 1000 injectors
synapse bov or hks ssqv III
walbro 255
UR 2.5" hfc
tanabe hyper medallion

im looking for 400+ HP( close to 500 if possible). currently im at 365 @ 11 psi on the 3" pulley. i know that the FMIC is causing me to lose about 3 psi so i have to take that into account with the new blower. i would like to go with the n1500 but do i need to make a custom crank pulley or can i use the comptech supplied pulley. i am aiming for 20-23 psi(17-20 psi with the FMIC loss)

so here are my questions

will the n1200 be able to put out that much psi
does the n1500 require a custom crank pulley to put out that much psi?

If it were me, I'd try out the aftercooler first. 3psi seems like a lot when you have 11psi currently.

Did you know that comptech sells the 1200 plates too? They even come with the carb number on them.

if you go 1500 blower, get 2000 injectors, 340 or 400 pump, and go e85 if its available in your area. otherwise not worth going 1500 blower. 1200 will max out pump gas just fine. on stock block pump gas you will prolly be somewhere in the 400-450 range max with either blower.

It’s too bad there isn’t more available information or experience with the NV1500. Like the OP, I will be at this same crossroads at some point in the future, as soon as my NV1000 fails. Maybe the couple guys that have run these can chime in. Subscribed

I know SOS sells them but I haven’t researched CT yet. Are you sure it’s for the 1200 and not 1220 with CT? Or are the mounting plates now the same on all these blowers - 1220/1200/1500?

I am curious why it won't be worth going to a 1500 without the parts you listed?

Hmm, I'm not sure...BUT, now that I think about it, couldn't you just use the SOS plate since they use the same comptech mounts? That way you'd be able to get that new belt tensioner system.

so i was just wondering if anyone knew what the max psi is on the n1500 using the stock comptech crank pulley? i read somewhere that krazik had to make a custom pulley and machine the water pump for it to fit. also what is the max psi that the n1200 can produce? i am aiming for 400+hp. as for getting an aftercooler, i already have the fmic so if i have to spin the blower a litte faster to make up for the 3psi drop i dont mind it. and i do not have e85 where i live so that would be out of the question

These numbers are based off of what that guys that are running there blowers to the max or over
All of this is with a AC and on a AP2 with the stock 6.5" crank pulley (i think??)
the N1200 will get you ~18psi with a 3.0" and 21-22psi with a 2.8" the blower maxes out at ~22-23psi
the N1500 will get you ~20-22psi with a 3.0" and 24-26psi with a 2.6" the blower maxes out at ~26psi

both blowers will get you 500whp with something other then pump gas
Me- on 104 octane with a N1200 3.0" AP2 @ 18psi =520whp now with N1200 2.8" AP2 @ 22psi= ??whp
ILoveMyHonda1982- on E85 with N1200 3.0" AP2 @ 22psi =511whp and on E85 with the N1500 2.6" AP2 @ 26psi =586whp

a larger crank pulley will allow you to run a bigger blower pulley too help reduce belt slip.
