Default Upgrade valve springs/retainers necessary for stroker 2.4 build

I have ap2 retainers with stock valve springs I don't see the point of upgrading the valve springs or retainers.

The point of stiffer /upgraded valve springs is because your running bigger cams or your reving the engine higher than stock(9,000rpm), so upgraded springs and retainers are required.

With a stroker 2.4 build i will be running stock cams and the rev limit will be lower than stock. So what's the point of changing the valve train...

If there is a purpose and benefit I will buy them. But if not I rather not throw away money at something that's not necessary.

they are still wear items in a high performance engine. doesn't hurt to look them over, or replace with new oem.

I agree, The 2.4 doesn't make that much power after 8000rpm.

I have very low millage stock valve springs and ap2 retainers going into this engine. I just wanted to see if there were any Beniefits of going with stiffer after market springs and titanime retainers when my rev limit will only be 8,000rpm or less and I'll be running stock cams.

I didn't and I dropped a valve at 40k Just check them to make sure they are not cracked.
