Reason for removing the head? Try to hit EVERY gear solidly Ill post the retainer carnage pics rather soon, head will be back by this weekend.
I say headgasket, retainers/springs and the rest, stock motor. Ill be pushing the envelope pretty soon here, well over 500whp once everything is back in the car

After looking at some of the engine failure threads regarding it, it would seem to be a very reasonable thing to do if you're pulling your engine down.
You don't have an oil bolt of a 2001? I'm confused. Help me out here.
