Ultimate Racing turbo kit for '04+
I have decided to go turbo on my car, hopefully pretty soon. I was considering the Ultimate Racing turbo kit that they have for the AP2's, and the dyno sheets they had on their website was pretty impressive. I don't know how accurate the numbers were, but they claimed 319.04 whp and 218.37 lb ft at 8 psi. Does anyone have any experience or info on this kit?

I have this kit on my 05' AP2 and I am making 326WHP and 236 WTQ...I love this kit and haven't had a problem and had the kit for about 7 months.. This is a solid kit and I haven't heard of any issues with the new kits they came out with...

Yea those are my numbers on high boost 8psi.
No rattling or anything (knocks on wood)
Its a great bolt on kit, however the only problem i ever had with it was the wastegate gasket kept blowing i replaced it like 3 times i FINALLY found one that doesnt blow i have been with this one for prob like 3-5 months now.
Other then that its a GREAT kit
Great customer service Darryl is good.

Best kit on the market as far as I'm concerned.
While I don't have it on an AP2 (mine's on an AP1) it is literally the same kit. I have had it on my car for 3 years now. when i first bought the kit, my gf got pregnant so i was going to sell it. decided to keep it, struggled for 2 years, and am very happy with my decision.
Originally had it running with emanage (tuned by darryl), and it ran great for 2 years. Then i upgraded to the aem ems to get rid of that light throttle hesitation that's common with piggybacks. had it tuned by darryl @ ur again and i love the car. i have not had one problem with the kit since owning it. hardware wise it is great, and reliable.
here are the pros and cons of the kit that i can see...
- pipes are stainless steel, not aluminum. so you gain some weight with the stainless piping, but you also gain durability and the pipes won't ever corrode.
- each charge pipe is bead rolled. they use 3 ply silicone.
- i suggest splurging and getting the aem ems, and not the emanage.
- would be good to coat the manifold when you receive it so that it doesn't develop surface rust
- good instruction manual
- the #1 pro is that they have been around the longest and have been offering the kit for what 5 years now? so you would think that there aren't any bugs anymore
when on the emanage, i ran 7psi for 2 years. currently, i am running 9psi on stock headgasket, and stock cat-back (w/testpipe) and am making 331whp (SAE).
Ultimate Racing FTW!
