it's the ap2 basemap that's making it run like that. just get the ap1 basemap in there and/or tune it asap.

probably whould get a new tuner... AP1 base map is not for AP2, AP2 base map is not for AP1.

1 =/= 2
2 =/=1

2 > 1 though. LOL

For those that are having heat issues in warmer climates (FL, AZ, CA, etc,) for the summer (hot months) open your hood, and look at the TOP of the firewall. See that rubber gasket type thing on the top? Remove it, and install it back when the temps drop.
You talking about the coolant pressure valve cap? That would not be a good idea as coolant will come out if you do....

He's not talking about that... he's talking about the weather stripping on the top of the plastic on top of the firewall. The long weather strip that seals the hood from the back.

That's what he means by the "TOP of the firewall."

Hey Greddy guys,
Please help...

So i just moved my S to Avon Colorado(ele.8000feet) from Socal today...im running the greddy kit @ 10psi with emanasge ultimate tuned at sea level. Since thats were she was tuned it has always ran great (AFR stayed consistently at 11's with wide open throttle). i knew it wasnt going to run exactly the same up here but i figurered id lose a few horse and maybe it would run a little richer with the thin air. but the AFR is all over the place. sometimes it holds at high 13's but i saw it go to 16 under full throttle! i only drove it for a few minutes this afternoon and just parked it until i find some info out. it seems to hesitate too while under boost.

what are safe AFRs ? whats the highest # i should see with wide open throttle?

i havent had much luck calling around the denver area for a retune. nobody wants to deal with or has experience with emanage.

any advise/info would be greatly appreciated!

super bummed since ive been waiting so long to get the car out here and it pulled soo nice in socal.
Joel
Altitude and the load from the grades there really needs a new tune. I would watch temperatures too.

The gas up there is horrifically crappy (second only to southern Utah). Get a tank of 93 from the gas station in silverthorne and see what happens. Even though in theory you can lower octane with elevation, you have not adjusted boost, and the engine loads particularly are way off what you were tuned for. You will also find that the severe temperature changes are also probably outside of what you were tuned for.

Has anyone raised the vtec with the 1052 so the car doesn't fall on its face after 6k? I'm debating do this once I get my EMS installed.

loosen the V-band clamp on the turbo and rotate the compressor housing a little, so you have enough clearance to put a bolt in with a socket wrench.

What size is the intake inlet? I want to replace the air filter with something different.
