Just a quick question, has AEM ever done a basemap for this kit? Or does anyone have something along those lines?

I was out in very hot heat and I got 5 bars the other day, I have a modifry which makes it read a bit differnt. You can always turn on the heat and blow the hot air out of the engine bay. It worked for me, just need to have the top down.

Hey Greddy guys,
Please help...

So i just moved my S to Avon Colorado(ele.8000feet) from Socal today...im running the greddy kit @ 10psi with emanasge ultimate tuned at sea level. Since thats were she was tuned it has always ran great (AFR stayed consistently at 11's with wide open throttle). i knew it wasnt going to run exactly the same up here but i figurered id lose a few horse and maybe it would run a little richer with the thin air. but the AFR is all over the place. sometimes it holds at high 13's but i saw it go to 16 under full throttle! i only drove it for a few minutes this afternoon and just parked it until i find some info out. it seems to hesitate too while under boost.

what are safe AFRs ? whats the highest # i should see with wide open throttle?

i havent had much luck calling around the denver area for a retune. nobody wants to deal with or has experience with emanage.

any advise/info would be greatly appreciated!

super bummed since ive been waiting so long to get the car out here and it pulled soo nice in socal.

You want around 11 AFR's under boost, 11.5 is the highest I would go under WOT.

Cant help much with the emanage I had to ditch it and run the Hondata.

^ Why did you ditch the emanage? Lack of tuning experts in your area is my guess.

Hey, I wanted to chime in on this heat thing you guys brought up. I just bought the car on 8/3/2010 (last tue I think) and on the way back from buying it, the car got up to 60-70% bars while sitting in traffic with the A/C on. As soon as the traffic opened up it went back down to 40% of the bars.

I really really don't like the look of vented hoods, any idea on how I can cool down the engine bay? It's ridiculously hot and it's not even hot here in SoCal right now. I'd hate to see what happens when it's like 90-100 out.

Also, I think the previous buyer never installed the heat shield back on, should I?

If your temps are rising that much, I'd take a hard look at your cooling system. Check your coolant level, and bleeding your coolant system sound like a good start to me. Also, if you're always in warmer climates, I'd run more water/less coolant, and it should help a little. I would put the heatshield back on.
