I may be buying an S2K with a Greddy kit on it and it is on the base tune and the seller says it's only running 5psi of boost. I live across country and will have to drive the car about 1,300 miles to get it home, my question is, is it safe to drive it home on the base tune that comes with the greddy kit? Also is there any known issue with overheating if I was to get stuck in traffic on the way back? Thanks.

it's always a gamble, depends if he has the correct injectors, there is prob different fuel octane, etc etc. All in all, if he had done everything right and it's really on the base tune, then it should make it no problem. just don't floor it at all. Drive normally and it should be fine. be sure to test drive it around town first, to make sure there are no hiccups. People do crazy stuff and 'say' that the car is fine but you never know.

Alright thanks, I will definitely take it easy on the way home and wouldn't floor it. I hope everything is running good as he says it is...

newbie here, I'm thinking of getting a new greddy kit so that i can keep all warranties and plus its 10x nicer then all the other kits out there and its good for show/dd and little track, which is why I'm going for in this kit. but my question is, i know that the manifold cracks for short period of time, does greddy really honor their warranty on their manifold?! any help would be nice! thanks.

How do you have your oil drain setup? I had the same problem with my Greddy kit when I had the drain going to the top of the pan. I changed it to the timing cover and no more smoking.
