The Ultimate GReddy Turbo Kit Thread
#1452
Hey so so far everything seems to be fine with my greddy kit. One thing ive been noticing is once I get to about a lil less then quarter tank of gas . If I nail it , it will bog n my wideband will read completely lean its happend to me about 5times now until I noticed that my car is going dry on gas n the car is running completely lean. Im now a lil, worried that ive done some kind of damage to my motor. Also is it normal.for the walhbro to do this at around quarter tank range. What you.guys think?

Mine does this exactly the same. Quarter tank of gas, first gear, GUN it and it dies.
Problem: fuel is moving away from the pick up point inside the tank caused by heavy movement of the car. (like water will fly out of your glass if you move it quickly)
Solution: fuel surge system! (fullblown)
I get this problem also with HALF a tank of gas during a sharp left turn and gunning it.
Its not good btw. Car just goes extremely lean. Try to always run the tank at least half full or get a fuel surge system..

Hard to tell. Usually engines are killed under running lean conditions, but then again they run lean on a wot run for longer periods of time so heat has a chance to build up.
In our case, he car dies for a single moment shorter than 1 sec. Its not good but i dont THINK it will ruin the engine after only a couple of occasions. But i can be wrong. You SHOULD avoid those moments by keeping an eye on your fuel level or getting a fuel surge kit. Fb has a really nice plug and plat kit that im gonna get!

are you guys using the 45 degree fuel filter or the 90 degree? check that.
also check to make sure your fuel floater didn't get bent when installing the fuel pump (make sure it's reading correctly).
