So, what about the restriction of a stock cat and exhaust setup? The cutout is not very pricey, around $160. Should I just go with a HFC? Will it yield the same results. I just DESPISE loud exhaust, thats all.
I prefer nearly silent exhaust. so loud to me would be anything that can be heard inside the cabin during DD.
thanks for the input

Well, check this out.
I bought one of those to use on my turbo. It DOES NOT fit. The exhaust of the turbo is NOT an oval which is how the flange on those are made. Look at the top left picture they have in the series of 4 on that page you linked to. NO turbo in this size range has a oval outlet. It is more of a weird shape. It did bolt up because the bolt holes lined up, but other than that it won't work properly. I won't use it because of it not letting the wastegate full movement.
It would not allow the wastegate to actuate fully. Maybe had 3-4mm of opening which is not good because I measured 15mm needed to travel. I have 2 of these turbos so I used the one that is off the car so I could see this fully. I would have to cut a section of the flange to make it work.
So now, with all that said...
I am working with a very reputable company who has made quite an impact on the s2000 forced induction community. I shipped them my other turbo so he can make one with a specific flange that fits and allows full range of motion for the wastegate.

Ahhhhh, I got you. I have a GT3071 upgrade that's T25-flanged so I just assumed it would work. My mistake.
I believe the guy I bought this from ran into the same problems. The GT30 turbo has the wastegate door open in the other direction if I believe so.

hfc and stock exhaust would work best. you will likely overboost with a cutout.
