Default Turbo Timer

I'm pretty new to this.

I'm planning to supercharge my car in the spring and i was wondering, Do you need a turbo timer for the supercharger?

i would assume it wouldnt hurt since its a centrifugal supercharger its basically a belt driven turbo and it still runs on oil. so a turbo timer wouldnt hurt and would probably be a benefit.

Someone chime in and correct me if im wrong

i would think even a cetrifugal wouldn't see the temps a turbo is reaching as there is no exhaust running through one side of it.

i don't think it necassary for a sc setup.
