Turbo conversion underway
Hey guys,
im in the middle of saving up for my turbo conversion for my AP1.
Ive decided in getting the Japanese greddy trust kit (as i am RHD) and i want to make sure that everything is on and im not taking any shortcuts.
Basicall the kit comes with:
* T518z turbo
* FMIC with all piping
* Airnx air filter
* Greddy e-manage ultimate
* 440CC injectors
* Oil relocation kit
* Manifold
* Dump pipe
* All necessary hoses and gaskets
* Heat shield
Other then that i was advised to get a oil cooler to help cool the oil down as it will be getting quite hot, fair enough and one has been ordered and is on the way.
but as im only going to be running 6-7 PSI of boost, i want to take all precautions to make sure i dont run into any common problems the "S" may have when running a turbo setup.
i will not be runnin ga boost controller as the wastegate actuator is locked at 7 PSI.
The emanage will also be tuned to optimum before i pick up.
Is there any other parts or needs you recommened or should that just be it?

The kit comes with 550cc injectors. The wastegate can be operated above 7psi with a boost controller.
I recommend:
-Krankvents
- new spark plugs in heat range 8 (one range colder than stock) gapped at .035". NGK Iridiums #5068 or #2668 are good choices
- Honda seal washers for the fuel line connection at the fuel rail. This is just a pair of metal seal washers ~$3 (I forget the part no.)
- You *should* be able to re-use the stock exhaust manifold gasket with no problem, but you may want to buy a new one
