There hasn't been one case of OEM rod failure, they can take a sh*t load of power..
I would however get a set of ARP rod bolts and replace the OEM ones while you are in there.

i have a built motor with AEBS sleeves, 89mm turbo pistons, peuter rods, ported head, oversized valves, 3mm headgasket, and a bunch of other goodies. make an offer if your interested. i have a complete turbo setup for very high hp goals, but will sell the long block seperate if there is enough intrest.

and whats a "turbo" piston?
or peuter rods?
I have benson sleeves acl bearings cp pistons 9.1to1 comp and pauter rods
just spend the extra few hundred bucks on rods and do it right. OEM are strong but heavy.

must have been oem compression assembled and he wanted to drop it for a shit-ton of boost? lol
either way, if youre building it, drop 600 extra for some forged rods. you're only gonna build it once, so build it totally right when you do it.
