Wish you weren't so modest with your explanation of "a little tricky".....LOL! I think I busted my knuckles on every single one of the 7 bolts I had to remove. With the trans in the tunnel there isn't much room to see the upper bolts really, you're basically doing it by feel, and the space is quite limited, so the most I could really get in there was a 1/4" ratchet.....Those bolts were TIGHT, breaking them free with a small ratchet was a chore for sure...I'm not sure if they're torqued tight from the factory and/or that bead of Honda bond holding them, but man were they difficult to break loose.....Luckily once you break them loose you can thread them out with your fingers.
I had the car in the air already, but my springs won't be here until tomorrow, but I figured I'd see how difficult it was. If the bolts weren't so damn tight it would've been a lot easier. My right hand is trashed today lol.
Edit: Think I should make a DIY?

A diy for when trans is still installed. If trans is out the youtube video from vendor covers everything.
If someone else doesn't beat me to it, I will do one when I get around to install. My spring kit already arrived.
Kyle, you mentioned don't have the spring kit yet. If it ends up holding you up, you can come by and grab my kit, then give me yours when it eventually arrives.

Oh brother...I guess I'll need to explain it further. I've already done 2 S2000's and it took me 35mins for mine and about 45-50 on my friend's because I had to disconnect his test pipe for more clearance. A long breaker bar and socket was all I needed. This also included cleaning every bolt and re applying Honda Bond to each bolt. I really didn't think it was that big of a deal.
Once you crack em loose with the breaker bar you could spin most of em out by hand...yes they're not SUPER easy to get a hold of but... On the ones that spun out a bit harder I just put the socket over the bolt head and continued to spin it out by hand. Its also helpful to do the 5 on the passenger side with the passenger side of the car in the air such that the detent balls don't come out...and then do the same on the other side for the remaining 2. The most difficult side is the driver's side IMHO.
This helps quite a bit... https://www.harborfreight.com/3-8-ei...bar-66388.html

FYI...I'm on a small vacation in South Dakota currently. I'll be back on the 26th. When I get back and when I get a minute I'll shoot some photos on this and how I did it. Sorry, normally I do this and take pictures...not sure why I didn't this time.

I actually just went ahead and did them yesterday and had both my car and the CR on the lift and first time it took me a little while since I ended up over torqueing the 1-2 gear lockout and snapped the head out and had to use an extractor to get it out.
On the CR it took me 30ish mins to do it since I had the experience to do it, only took a longer wrench and socket like 056S2K07Si said, although I did have a short and long 12mm for the top ones.
Does anyone know the part# for the spring bolt? I tried to look it up but didn't seem to find it, I had to borrow one from my parts car.
