Thank you for the kind words.

Sorry no updates.

I've been struggling with an illness for just over 6 months (started the first week in March) and have put this project on hold due to this. I've spent just north of $4500 out of pocket trying to get well. As I am currently better (for just over two weeks currently) than I've been all summer, I may possibly still have a long road to recovery. If things go well for me I would like to try continuing with this project next spring.

Thanks all,

Brian

Sometime in the last year or so the Dynojet software has been upgraded and it appears as though the calculations for horsepower and torque have changed a bit (not sure what exactly). My previous dyno of about 443whp is now reading 439whp in the new software both with the SAE correction factor.

The changes from the previous 2014 dyno to the current one are as follows:

Walbro 450lph fuel pump and relay/relay socket upgrade (shouldn't have made much of a difference as I wasn't out of fuel on the previous AEM 320 E85 pump)

ID1300X fuel injectors (shouldn't have made much of a difference either changing from ID1000’s as I wasn't out of duty cycle)

Hot side intercooler piping increase in diameter from original TTS 2.5” to newly modified and better flowing 2.75”

Cold side piping diameter increase and complete reroute from original TTS 2.5” that eventually changed to 3” to just before the throttle body and now to full 3” from intercooler to throttle body and considerably less flow restricted piping path to outside drivers side frame rail and including reworking of both side intercooler tanks.

So the preliminary results are looking quite surprisingly good! Tuning is not complete yet but the increase so far is surprising. I picked up everywhere starting at about 3000pm on up. Increases in torque from 20lbft to almost 32lbft! We'll see where it'll be soon. This is all on 93 octane gasoline! We have not started E85 yet!

We're still trying to figure out the reason for the cap around 450whp from about 7300rpm to 8500rpm. It might either be the limit of 93 octane in this setup or perhaps some other flow restriction (maybe the 60mm exhaust is finally limiting me beyond 450whp). We're planning to remove the exhaust from the test pipe back to see.

Dyno tuning has been completed. I will put up data and graphs later this weekend. The results are quite impressive! I need to overlay the graphs to get exact numbers but about 95+whp and 80+wtq increases on E85 from my previous dyno from 2014! Boost increased to 18.3psi!

Regarding the 450+whp limit from yesterday's 93 octane tune...that's it for 93. We tried to remove the air filter to see if it was a restriction and we lost 4whp by removing it. We then removed the exhaust from the test pipe back and there was no difference with or without the exhaust. So that's it for 93 octane on this car as it sits.

More to come...

Final results shown in STD correction factor. Ethanol content on this dyno is measuring at only E65. There may be more WHP available once the mixture in the tank gets to E75 - E80 or above. Spark plugs are still BKR8EIX but now gapped at .018" and still with OEM coils. 60psi base fuel pressure and 82% duty cycle on the ID1300X's.

Original unmodified TTS kit (on 93) vs TTS kit with new modifications (on 93) vs TTS kit with new modifications on E85 (measured at the time of this dyno at E65 actual)

Very nice results Brian. Your piping changes freed up some added boost obviously. That’s a nice power band.
