Yes, seen it. Intriguing. The problem is it runs outta breath at higher flow rates. On our car it would give a really nice torque bump at lower and mid rpm, but then run out of breath in upper vtec range.
You'd be lucky to see any real peak hp gains.

Yeah exactly, id say it would be a wash on our motor in vtec around 6-7k rpm and then provide nothing or might even choke above that to redline. Our motor consumes a lot of cfm in the upper band and when that exceeds what's being forced in, that's a choke point. Don't quote me but ive heard figures tossed around here that our engine consumes around 800cfm, which is as much as a typical v8. Nice bump under vtec though, someone should try it

800cfm?
A 4 cycle engine sucks in air every other revolution.
Capacity is measured with the piston at the bottom of the stroke.
So keeping everything to numbers I can understand, and assuming perfect air flow:
Total capacity = 2000cc (AP1 for easy math.)
Each intake stroke = 1000cc of air.
1000cc = 0.0353cf
Times whatever rpm you want:
6000rpm = 211cfm (at VTEC)
7000 = 247
8000 = 282
9000 = 318
How's the math look? I'm only halfway thru my first cup of coffee.

Another really good one is boostedboiz and PFI speed they build Honda's mostly. imports but PFI speed is building a really cool S2000 they call it sho enough it's a full drag car build
