Well I took the TCT out. Took it apart, and put it back together. Put it back in the car. Hooked up the sensor just above the tct. Is it the vtec sensor? Anyways started right up... I don't really know what my issue was. And I got it up to operating temprature and the noise is gone. Idk for how long. Never know with this repair I guess. Gonna change the oil Monday and put her away for the winter. And to "teamvalorracing". I wasn't doing a "sloppy" or half-ass job. Whatever you want to call it. I was being very thorough, and was just overly cautious thats all. Kind of new when it comes to working on cars. The most I have done to this point is changing oil, plugs, or a battery. I just figured this project would be something I could handle. I am sure you felt the same when you started out.

^i wasnt referring to you. i was referring to the writeup and other people who said those things.
when i started out, i was 15 with a $1,200, 1990 EF. i didnt test my skills on an s2000.
glad you got it fixed.
since you are becoming more involved with your car, i would recommend buying a FSM for the s2000 online for about 60 bux as it is probably the BEST thing you could buy for you and your car.

if you have the factory service manual, why were you doing it any other way than what it shows? i mean, its got the engineers drawings and step by step info for the entire process.
