ANyone have a recommendation for a solid but inexpensive fluid filled unit? I see jegs sells their own brand for about $30, when I googled "glycerin filled" the only units that came up were $200.

I would do this to my car if it can be done reliably for less than $100, for $200+, I figure I don't care about it that much.

This liquid filled will most likley be Glycerin, though I think some use a light oil.

There are quite a few more out there.

I was going to say no but I believe Ford used a fitting like this and I have the adapter. Most OEM's use a 37deg Jic fitting with a schrader fitting.

Chef,

for a 1/8-27 NPT you need to use a Q drill (.332"), for a 1/4-18 use a 7/16"

I am not sure who came up with the letter designations but they should be shot. It is such a pain in the rear.

It looks like my gauge is going to be upside down!! I am afraid to try to tighten it more to turn it around the right way, and I definately don't want to loosen it. Any recomendations?

put the red (gel type) locktite on the threads. tighten the guage down almost all the way and line it up where u want it. let the locktite dry for a day or so and scrape the excess off from around the guage. ur guage wont go anywhere.

I have the gauge now and just have a 5/16" bit. The only problem is I don't know what tpi the earls gauge is. I also couldn't find a 3/8"-27 anywhere. I tried ACE, homey depot and lowes. I found a -24 and am praying that will work.
