It was $2500 for the tranny, and $2400 for the stage 2 rebuild. I replaced 2nd and 3rd gear since I had a choice of a couple gears to replace.

My V160 stage 2 build from Jacks Transmission is on its way to me. I'll post a thread of the goods
Why the build? Isn't the stock V160 strong enough to take the abuse?
I know any one that has drag raced this trans a good bit shifting at or past 8500RPM seem to hurt the synchronizer

One of the reasons I really wanted the dogbox. I hated the fact the V160 still had Synchros.

I wish everyone on here had the chance to drive a PPg Dogbox with this car. It really was the most pleasurable experience with the car. It was so fuggin awesome.

A PPG V160 Dogbox would pretty much be the sickest set up. Set ya back almost $20k but would be nice

I believe last time I checked, PPG stop making the dogbox setup. They only make the synchro setup.

It's really not that pricey considering what they do compared to other shops that do basic synchro rebuilds. These guys go above and beyond internally and when they are done it looks like you have a brand new trans again. Most people in the race industry use Jakcs for their builds to include kings and majestic Motorsports.

Yeah man I feel ya. I just popped my 2nd stock tranny (2nd gear disappeared). Because I'm still waiting on V160 and other parts, I just slapped on a 3rd tranny this past weekend cause I'm sick and tired of it being down. This car sees more jack stand time than it does sunlight.
