anyone know if it's ok to start up my car with no fluid in the v160? I want to let the motor run since its bin sitting for a while i will keep my foot on the clutch so the tranny doesn't spin, if you're wondering the case is cracked so it wont hold fluid.
Just have the case tiged up and fill with fluid

i already tried using JB weld and it didnt hold , the crack is pretty long. so any insight on running it without fluid?

So I dropped my v160 the other day and I was surprised how easy it is to drop with the FB kit on it. All I really had to do was loosen the steering joint, remove downpipe then lower the subframe and start un-doing the bolts to the tranny. It literally took like 1.5-2.0 hours to do it and I was going really slow reading the shop manual. My question is when putting it back in do I have to take the clutch off and put it on the tranny then mount it to the motor or can I put the tranny in with the clutch on and just keep turning the prop flange till all the splines line up to get it in.

You should be able to put the transmission back on with the clutch on still.
