I felt the same way.

I think I've seen around $1500 for the rebuilds, but I guess it would depend on the parts needing serviced as well.

I believe the vss goes directly to the cluster first, then to the ECU

thanks, I'm trying to figure this out bc i have speed based boost and wanna make sure this is going to go smoothly, so with the speedo healer the speedometer works perfect and sends the correct values to the ecu? are you on aem ems?

I haven't been able to drive it yet. But I just did the test mode on the speedohealer while connected to AEM and it is seeing what the dash is outputting. The dash shows 3 mph, while AEM is seeing 4 mph and goes to 0 when i take it out of test mode and the dash is at 0. that could just be that I don't know if my tuner calibrated the ecu to the vss, or the cal I have entered into the speedohealer is off. Postab0y just gave me the rough number to get it to read on the dash. So if your dash is seeing mph your ecu will see it. I really wish I could drive the car to confirm that it really is working properly.

Here's a revised diagram I made of how I wired up the speedohealer. I used the 12V from my primary O2 sensor as I'm not using it anymore (AEM 1052U), but any 12V accessory power source will work.

I extended the factory wires from the vss harness and wired the speedohealer about 2 inches from the sensor itself.

Here is Full Blown's plug diagram as well
