The supra trans do make more noise then others. what weight trans fluid is it again?
75w-90 motul
that doesn't sound like your normal twin disc clutch chatter that's for sure. In the V160 the oem oil is ATF based so i dont know how that Motul 300 would make that tranny sound. I would have stuck with either the oem oil or the Royal Purple Syncromax. I run it in my Supra with about 800lb.ft for about 5k miles at a time with no problems and it shifts smoother than the stock fluid did.

I am going to fill it up with the royal purple and see if it makes a difference. thanks

Just filled it with royal purple and same noise, i did notice when i was under the car the noise seems
To be coming from the rear of the tranny, not looking good so far

If you research on the supra forums, the popular fluids are mostly in a split between people using the oem and the royal purple- both equally seem to be good, with some even stating royal purple feels smoother (but this could just be a placebo). But either way, when you research that they both work equally well by supra owners, then the variable becomes the cost, and since RP is way less expensive and easier to get, I say go RP

Labor runs from $600-800 plus whatever parts are needed to be replaced.
