That pinging is the pump gas running out of effective knock control and that's what your tuner was referring to. With race fuel, that pinging will go away because the fuel is more stable and you will be able to make more power.

Dynojet numbers are the most reliable real world numbers also.

I say this because a dynojet's numbers can not be manipulated like the other dyno's. All other dyno's have values that can be changed to make the run look like more hp than what the engine is really putting out. Also, a dynojet uses a huge drum that has to be spun up and puts real true measurable load on the engine. The other dyno's use smaller, easier to spin up drums that can be adjusted to read pretty much any number you want. If they have a drum at all. This is why the dynojet's are so popular, they read tru'er than any other dyno out there from what I know. For example, I made 581 whp on a dynojet but if I went and ran it on a mustang, I could see 75 whp more or less depending on how the dyno runner manipulates the data on the run. This is all I'm trying to say.

Btw, a guy I know out here had an S that he claimed ~600 whp and he made the run on a local mustang dyno. Everyone was like, "there's no way its making that power", so a while later he threw it up on a local dynojet and low and behold he made ~520 whp. We were all like, "now that sounds more like it". His trap speeds at the local 1/8th mile track didn't negate his ~600 whp claim and we all knew it wasn't right. This is my point.

I thought it went from highest reading to lowest like this: But evry dyno reads different so it is very hard to compare..
Dynapac
dynojet
mustang/dyno dynamics
Sorry to thread jack...Good luck with your goals

Nope, mustangs can be manipulated to basically whatever you tell the dyno runner you want to make, if you know what I mean. There is a reason why other dyno's, like a mustang, that you go to will tell you that its calibrated to a dynojet. If they have it calibrated like this, then the numbers will be very close to true hp numbers. If its not, you'll get whatever. You can't do this with a dynojet and that's why its the most popular and true.
Also sorry for the thread jack.
