Stock HG.
i have read alot about saying stock hg can only run 10 lbs of boost or it can only hold 450 hp. blah blah. i dont want people saying go 3mm i know i have 2 sitting here. or saying go meth. i just want to hear what people think is a good boost level for a stock HG. 10 12 ect.. or 450 hp? 400 hp? how reliable you think it will be. This will be done on a great tune my jeff evans.

I am pretty sure people have gone up to 14 psi with no meth and a really good tune. I believe Spectacle is running 14 with no meth (correct me if I am wrong) and he is in the area of 425 I think. Depending on your setup you should be fine at 14 psi with a good tune.

16 psi pump gas decent sized turbo. around 500whp. stock HG, arp head studs. i only put the studs in because the motor was apart, so i figured why not.
with a great tune, like mine, i don't see why you would need a HG for pump gas and 500 whp. just make sure you always get good gas.

I highly doubt you will make anywhere near 475 whp on 12 psi. When I was on the stock HG and pump gas with a very efficient tubular manifold and a turbo just under a GT35, I made around 390 whp on a dynojet at 9.5 psi. Dynojet numbers are the most reliable real world numbers also. You might be able to squeeze out around 425 whp at 12 psi but that also depends on the size of turbo and how well your manifold flows.

i made 397 at 10 psi on a dyno jet with a full race kit and i believe a t60 my new goal is gonna be 500 with race gas trying to avoid head gasket but not sure if i can make it my tuner said it was "starting to ping on the top" so any more aggressive would start to risk the motor so im also curious as to know what numbers people hit with stock head gasket.
