Springs for Stock Valves
#6
Want them for the 2 Step not RPM, I don't want to pull the motor apart on this one until it pops so I figured I would throw in some springs and let her rip.
I am a bit worried the spring rates for the Supertech and Ferrea I used in the past might be a bit heavy for the light sodium filled factory valves vs the stainless/inconel I have built in the past.

You know I can not come up with a reason why the stock valve springs fail when using the 2 step but many people have found this out the hard way.
RealStreet is correct and utlimatly the head will need to come off and the vavles replaced. All the FI heads I have pulled have had warped exhaust valves even on a Greddy kit.
Here is one thread of many on the subject.

FYI, I did some research and BC (Brian Crower) sells a "Street" spring kit with steel retainers (BC0040S). The S at the end of the PT# denotes that it is a "High Milage" or "Street" retainer and for those with AP2's you will need to order AP1 keepers. I was able to order a set new VERY cheap.
AP1 Keepers = 14781-PR7-A01 - 32 Required - APP $1.90 ea from Honda (I would buy a few extras for spares though)
Honda Parts Cheap
Brian Crower Double Spring Kit - BC0040S - Dual Spring Kit w/ Steel Retainer - App $280 to your door
