I agree totally that the curve will not change with E85 and that there will be xxx% increase overall. However if you look at his dynos at 10lbs and 15lbs there is only about 10whp difference in them (above 7000) so I'm not sure that increasing the boost at 7krpm will net the desired result. IMHO
I looked at the SOS provided dyno more carefully showing the 10 and 14.5psi torque curves. If you draw an imaginary line from the 10psi torque curve where it starts to drop, and draw it straight across as if it stayed a flat torque curve, then it ends up where the 14.5psi torque curve ends.

So you want a flat torque curve? Run 10psi until the torque starts to drop and then ramp the boost up to 14.5psi at redline. Of course, that leaves a lot of torque and power on the table vs. running a constant 14.5psi and I think that's just crazy as it would be slower.

Personally, I believe it is the exhaust housing of the turbo and perhaps non-equal length short manifold that this kit utilizes to make packaging so good. Finite wave activity in the exhaust still plays a major role with relative exhaust and boost pressures being on top of it. That is not something that can be swapped out without having to change pretty much everything.

On the other hand this kit not only reaches initial spool at a lower rpm, but transient throttle response should also be superior to about any other turbo kit. For a short wheelbase front midship RWD car this is probably one of the most important attributes if your focus is on cornering ability and car control.

u better go with the gtx3076r Or better gtx3576r for low torque and fast spool , this kit is design like this , no mather what u gonna do the top end power never goona be good like other kit but u gonna ave a nice daily driver fast respond kit ,
if you looking for top end big HP kit dont buy this ! but with this kit you have you ave alot of power in lower rpm and its pretty amazing vs otehr kit start making power at 5000 5200 + rpm

Got my car returned today. I have the GT3582r kit installed. The install was normal, with no problems encountered, there was no need to improvise in any step of the installation. This kit looks and fits like if it was Honda Oem. To me thats a plus.

Opening build thread in coming days.. few days later some dyno numbers.
Wow, that got to you quick and you got it on the car even quicker! Thank you for your business & appreciate taking the time to post feedback.

How soon do you plan to have the car retuned on E85?

I see what you are getting at, but if you look at his specific dynos (10 lbs vs 15 lbs) here: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/104...t__p__22822939
you will see that it doesnt look quite like the dyno from SOS.

it has been covered here, but the 7000rpm+ behavior is not due to the turbo. it is the exhaust housing / manifold design of the kit. I have a 2.812v vr6 making 600whp on a gt3582 and the power goes straight up past 8000rpm.

I had a turbo vr6 before this car. I love the exhaust note soooo much. Please post a link to videos of your car

So I drove the car Saturday. Didn't have too much time behind the wheel but in my initial impressions...ill stay with a supercharger.

Now mind you I don't have much experience driving many turbo'd cars. Probably the best I've driven is a stock 2007 335i...which is pretty good IMHO.

I really didn't like the lag...IE: time from throttle movement to on boost. No it wasn't very long but there is absolutely NONE on a my car (yes I tried at varied rpms etc). The midrange is nice but nothing exciting up top either. I drove it on 10# and then 15#. 15 was obviously better but just not my cup of tea. I would have liked to spend more time driving it but we ran out of time. At this time I'm fairly convinced that I will be sticking with a supercharger.

A high hp SC is more exciting and raw, more engaging, more integral to why many of us fell in love with the S2k to start with. The SC adds that part we all start to feel is missing after a wile, more POWER.
