SOS TS Max Turbo Kit Build Thread

A car that is slightly lagier would be easier to power out of a corner I would assume. But for either way responsive power is great and even better for the street. I've driven an evo and an s14 that produce about 400 ftlbs by 4000 rpm. Its really fun the evo did it closer to 3500rpm it was like driving a big v8

IMO, lag coming out of a corner is not what you want. I had a GT3076R that spooled very fast. Coming out of a corner, it was nothing but progressive. Not having any significant lag meant that I got exactly the power I wanted when I wanted it.

Right, so like a Supercharger

Congrats Dustin, the results look awesome!
Regarding the power curve, remember that this is a 35R turbine, but a much smaller compressor side (76mm) than the normal compressor you see on a 35R (82mm). I believe Dustin specifically chose this setup to get the best spool response with a setup capable of ~200 BHP gain on 93 octane.
A 200+ BHP gain on 93 octane out of a 4 cyl engine with killer boost response is awesome !
The results are actually out performing the compressor map for this turbo:

The system does not creep. This is likely wastegate boost control solenoid duty added by the tuner, which is normal on a smaller compressor turbocharger system.

I also seem to hear a whistle at certain speeds. Perhaps the intercooler is to blame, but I have yet to test my theory. I also noticed girgling near the turbo after shutting the car off. It appears water is moving around. I doubt there is air in the system though

Do you have a wire dangling, which makes contact with the intake pipe from the turbo? About to tape mine up since it gets pretty hot there.

Although I the girgling sound near the turbo after shutting her off is there for me as well.
