SOS throttle body fix tps issue with meth?
I have been having issues with my tps sensor going bad due to meth. This last one lasted all of 2 weeks before kicking the bucket. It goes from working fine with a range of .45-4.5v to only having a range of about 1. 7 to 3.5 volts. These voltages are constantly fluctuating too so even if I rescale it its out of wack 2 seconds later.
Has anybody had this issue and fixed it by getting a SOS upgraded TB with the meth resistant seals? Has anybody found another solution? I'd rather not shell out the money for that tb if I don't have to.

Yea mine is set there now, but I was recently testing my new flow meter with the test function at idle. Thats probably what did it in . So no issues for you after you stopped spraying prematurely?
I wouldn't mind starting spray earlier actually. According to the flow meter it does not flow anything until around 15-20% pump output. So it is not actually starting when it is triggered.

I'd like some info on this as well.
I started spraying @ 8psi and went through 2, w/less than 50 miles and 2 dyno tunes on the car.
This is what I was going to do, although I'm not going to bother if it doesn't fix the issue.
Althought now I think about it, when I go w/direct port injection, I shouldn't have any tps issues, lol.

Probably needs better shaft seals on the TP. It was never meant to suck wet air. I need to look and see how it's in there, but I think it comes apart pretty easy. Adapting a tighter water proof seal should be straight forward,

I would just spend the $250 on the better TB from SOS. They upgraded these seals to be problem free for us who spray. From the performance standpoint the TB is the same size as the +06 DBW cars but 00-05 is significantly larger, + 1.5mm on the manny side and 6mm on intake. I gained a noticeable improvement in throttle response and flow/hp through the entire rpm range. I haven't had any issues spraying meth from 3500-4krpms either.

I found a hack solution but it's been working for over a year now.
I vented the bell housing that the TPS mounts to so that any water that got by the throttle shaft seal would dry out or drain out.
