Default SOS Oil Filter Adapter with Oil Cooler Kit???

Anyone running a combo like this?
I have an HKS supercharger and the inlet pipe is too close to the oil filter to run a sandwich plate.
I saw a SOS Oil Filter Adapter come up in the FS section and I grabbed it but was wondering if I could use these two in conjunction... I'm worried about Oil pressure and flow...

Thoughts?

I'm no expert but my engineering degree would make me think that you'd be limited by what part is the most restrictive. They wouldn't have an additive effect.

The pressure drop with the adapter is negligible. The added lines & fittings to an oil cooler would likely have a more significant effect. You'll want to make sure the sandwich plate will not affect clearance. You can download the template on our website here:

I messaged him recently and he has still not yet tried fitting the two. I am also interested in this setup as I too am looking for a solution to run an oil cooler with the hks charger.

Are you planning to replace the oem cooler with the cooling plate (sandwich) adapter (probably the more common way to do this)?

As long as your cooling plate adapter is as thick or thicker than the oem oil cooler, it should work fine.

I did have issues with the adapter bolt loosening over time, causing the adapter to rotate. I drilled holes in the bolt and safety wired it. Also go through the adapter and make sure it is deburred. I had a few metal shavings/burrs on the bolt section.
