2000-05 systems replace the fuel pump with a unit that can handle the increased load from the rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

Is the high flow fuel pump included in the 2000-2005 base kits, and if not what do you recommend I replace the oem unit with?

Hmm? I was thinking KW, but with the AVAILABILITY! And the COST of this kit, I may have to reconsider.
Can anyone chime in some comparisons regarding performance by first hand experience?
Great Kit!

Especially since I sent an e-mail to SOS requesting a total price shipped to my house for the SL model. The response I got back said the price for the SL model would be exactly the same. It also stated that in SOS's opinion, there was no downside to the SL model if you ignore the extra oil change for the charger its self.

Couple of questions:
1/ If you want to upgrade your clutch do you have to remove the supercharger like some other kits?
2/ Does the standard electronics for AP1 require splicing wires like the vortech system?

2. No wires require cutting - the installation of the controller is plug and play. (updated 4/28)

My 01 AP1 was one of the first SOS SC'ed beta test cars. It is an awesome kit backed by a good warranty. I am making roughly 300 whp on a bone stock AP1 with NO exhaust, test pipe, or any other engine mods OTHER than the SC kit. It is stock injectors with an FMU as well as the other parts that come with the kit.
It retains great daily driveability as I havent had any issues even with the FMU. I plan on going standalone eventually with upgraded injectors, etc. But for the money its a great kit with plenty of potential. Plus it's cheaper than Comptech with simplified installation and/or removal. I'll post pics of my setup so you can get the idea.
Chris and the entire SOS crew are very knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction, even if you're on a budget. Back in August I too was contemplating which FI application I would go with, coincidentally SOS was just releasing their BETA test program for AZ locals. After talking with them and seeing their products I was sold, not only because I was local or the price was affordable, but because they have a good track record of taking care of their customers, something that can be hard to find these days. I approve of this kit 110%.

I'm not sure if we confused you, however, there is currently to pricing information on the SL model until it is tested in house. Paxton is working on a special model specifically for our system.

If I bought the hi-boost kit, what would it cost to include the FMU and standard boost pulley? I'm thinking that I would install the base system and wait to install a new clutch and the rest of the parts in order to run the hi-boost. Just curious.
