Nice pics... I'm waiting until I get a tracking number for my upgraded heat exchanger before installing. I have to say that the instructions look pretty good.

hey quick question, instead of using the crank removal tool would an impact on the bolt do the job?

I don't have hands on experience but I have seen a few posts on this board where someone gave that a try and it didn't work.

It's very likely you're going to need the tool and a long breaker bar or two. It takes a lot of initial force to get the crank bolt off.

You will need the tool. It took a 4 foot pipe on a breaker bar to undo the bolt. The bolt will laugh at an impact. It is torqued to 192ft/lbs.

I agree, impact gun has no chance. 4 foot breaker bar with full body weight barely broke it free.

You can get polished also...black is one of the options.
