I think 475whp is about as much as you're gonna get...and that's with head work. You'll also be down on torque to a good turbo setup. It's a tough call. Here's the thing, though. You live in Arizona where the temps get way above 100 degrees frequently. Most turbo setups will position the turbo quite close to your wiring harness. A proper turbo setup installation will be fine for daily driving but you're likely to bake your wiring harness if you track your car in that kind of heat.

Right now I'm at about 360whp. I simply cannot imagine not being happy with ANYTHING making 475whp in this car. It has got to be one helluva rush. As far as beating a GTR...well, that things making gobs of power and torque and has the best electronics in the world to manage it. Beating a GTR is probably a lofty goal. A Cobb chipped GTR tuned right will make in excess of 470whp and will yield boatloads more torque. I don't think the weight and traction difference will be enough to keep the S2000 out front. But shit, go prove me wrong! I wanna see an S2000 beat up on a GTR so I can go make fun of them on their boards.

 

a 500 whp s2000 will beat a stock gtr. dunno about after its modded though.

 

Yeah, you're right. I just looked it up and the stock GTR put down 410whp on a dynojet at Motortrend.

If that's the case, I would think the 475whp S2000 w/the new SOS kit would have a solid shot. Of course, once you beat your brother, he's gonna be seeking more power and he won't have far to go to force you to spend a lot more cash for more HP.

2006-2008 S2000: Factory flashable ECU is modified with fuel and ignition mapping for included 650cc injectors. Supports up to 150 horsepower gain at 9 psi.

I had the video on youtube with the cold start problem.

I talked to Chris @ SOS about it, and he shipped me a test ECU with a different fuel map right away - and it fixed that problem instantly.

They're setting it all up so I can send out both ECUs to Hondata so I'll get my stock (reflashed) ECU back with the adjustments and have my immobilizer working in the car again to get rid of the flashing green key symbol on the dash.

Kudos to the guys @ SOS for being on top of things.
