From the FAQ on their site...

Q: How is the system lubricated?
A: The system uses oil delivered by the VTEC system to lubricate the supercharger. A self contained model is available by special order.

So it sounds like the people hoping for an option for the Paxton "SL" models will be accomodated!

Chris, does SOS have an opinion on using the 1200 SL model? It seems to me there would be less things to go wrong. I'm aware of the extra oil to change, but is there a performance difference with the SL? Does a kit with the SL change the pricing?

Thanks guys! Looking good

I don't think they are going to offer the sl1200. The SOS kit does not require tapping of the oil pan with the regular novi 1200.

: Does the system require you to tap the oil pan?
A: No. Through extensive testing both on dyno, street, and track, we have proven that the oil return through the drain plug is an effective and safe method to allow oil to return to the engine.

They very clearly say that a self contained model will be available though.

Chris...on your dyno list page, both of the DBW cars show all stock, but the slightly higher HP car has aftermarket exhaust and whatnot...

Just a heads up on a little typo....

Chris, just thought I would let you know that the dyno page has an error. The AP2 kits show 340.4whp, 219.2 wtq with stock everything, and for 364.80, 233.5 wtq it also is listed with stock everything. The dyno plot for the 364whp lists it has exhaust and a header.

If we buy a kit now or before Feb 27th to get the special promotion, can we get teh carb benefits even though we bought it before all that happens?

Any estimated carb legal status? Will it eventually be carb legal for sure (not talking about the tuner kits)?

Right now this is pretty much the only thing stopping me from purchasing, I would hate to buy a complete kit and then SOS decides not to do carb or realizes it's going to take like a really long time.
