ScienceofSpeed releases supercharger system
#201
Hey Chris,
After a lot of debating, I'm ready to order. I'm thinking I'm just going to order the stage I setup for my '04. Then I'll deal with some supporting mods (clutch, exhaust, header, etc) before I upgrade to K-Pro.
Since I am ordering a plug and play kit, I'm planning on doing this in my garage. Does the kit come with any sort of installation instructions? Is there anything that simply should be ordered with the kit? Drivetrain wise, my car is 100% stock. Is there any sort of tuning that needs to be done that would neccesitate a wide band guage (fuel pressure on the FPR?)?
Also, can you reccomend a good exhaust system to go with the system? I'd like to stay dual, but it's not a priority.
Is it easiest to order off the website or some other route? I'd like to stay in the introductory price window because I'm a cheap ass.

Is it possible to 'clock' the supercharger housing and run a FMIC with this kit? Any benefits over the standard air/water aftercooler?

I figured I'd post this here too.
Note: This is not to bash SOS in any way, they've been nothing but great when I speak with them, and I've already brought this up with Chris there - and he said they'd get the ECU reflashed with a few adjustments to fix this. (I am one of the last beta test 2008s)
I was just wondering if anyone else with an SOS SC, (or any SC) has had this kind of cold start issue:

Its only about 50 degrees, so not ice cold or anything where I'm at. Once it starts, everything drives fine. If I park the car and go shopping for anything for a few hours, it starts like normal, not like the morning start up in the vid.

Ordered today. Add me to the list of people pacing around, counting the days.....
I can't wait to get my kit, but I just have to sell my damn civic first.
Be sure to give driving impressions of the kit when you get it.
Stage 1 kit?
