I had a CTSC on my AP1 for 67,000 miles. I mounted it the very week that it first came to market. My gas mileage improved with it. I don't know why it got better. There were many who noted the improved gas consumption among the early adopter group.
werent early Ap1's known for running rich though.

I had an early CT kit also, long before the aftercooler kit was out. The AP1 with CT kit ran very lean, not rich.

As matter of fact, its too lean for my comfort. I recommend all AP1 owners with S/C's to either get an AFR gauge or take it to the dyno and pay the extra for the wideband readings to make sure they are not running dangerous lean at vtec.

This is a nice setup...

Just to get rid of any confusion, you might want to fix the website link that features the dyno plots. Under the 2006 - 2008, you have both plots as stock but the second graph is actually with upgraded header and exhaust.

I meant, didnt stock 2000-01's ran rich. So when you put on a supercharger and retuned you had a better cahnce of getting better mileage.

Yes... first two years of the S2k ran rich.

That's why those early S2k's like bolt-ons.

I swear there is no one that ever reports anything on the ap1. There are still some ap1 owners out here that want more power lol.

Here is the only feedback about the AP1 from a beta tester using just the standard kit. I assume the beta testers have to run their kit in stock form for awhile to test it out for reliablity etc. So there is likely nobody yet with an AP1 and high boost pulley yet. It was on page 3

My 01 AP1 was one of the first SOS SC'ed beta test cars. It is an awesome kit backed by a good warranty. I am making roughly 300 whp on a bone stock AP1 with NO exhaust, test pipe, or any other engine mods OTHER than the SC kit. It is stock injectors with an FMU as well as the other parts that come with the kit.
It retains great daily driveability as I havent had any issues even with the FMU. I plan on going standalone eventually with upgraded injectors, etc. But for the money its a great kit with plenty of potential. Plus it's cheaper than Comptech with simplified installation and/or removal. I'll post pics of my setup so you can get the idea.
