For SC 400-450 whp S is it best to rebuild engine or buy used F22?

That would be way too expensive for me for a sc setup and under 500whp goals.
I would imagine you would still have to ave the block re sleeved no?
Then add in the cost for all new water pump, oil pump, seals etc will become very expensive and would still need to rebuild the head. It would also not be a 2.2L either.

Oh nice. Didn't know that was included.
I would still think the oem engine would last longer than any built engine for a 450whp sc setup in this car. Hell I'm almost at 170k miles on my stock f20 now. I added boost at around 120k miles. Currently at 406whp so these oem engines are definitely made to last!
I average over 20k miles a year on my S2000 so far.

Yes the pump would add on afew dollars, but I refuse to buy used shit and then deal with all the what if scenarios. Worth it to me for the extra piece of mind. Fast and cheap is not reliable and fast and reliable is not cheap ftw

A brand new oem 2.2l shortblock without the water pump is only $2,600! The 2.2l crank is $832 by itself. I think its a damn good price for the short block. Ill have to call my guy at honda to see what all comes with the 2.2l shortblock. Im assuming just the pistons rods and oil pan...
