Default S/C Failure

I had my Vortech blower rebuilt by Vortech roughly 1500 miles ago.

I had it on the track... getting familiar w/ the track lines... and the s/c seal popped out and from what i could see.. crushed/shattered teh blower bearings. Or at least.. thats what it feels like..

The car is down for a full inspection...

but.. anyone else have experience like that?

Are you running synthetic oil? Was the belt very tight?

Would the oil make a difference, i know you need a tight belt on the Vortech, but not the Comptech!!!

Nibble a member to our Metro forum had a failure after his was rebuilt by
Vortech .... If I remember right he took it apart just in time because he
found bits of shrapnel that was about to go into the engine another mile or two
and it would of been a disaster

Vortech took it back and gave him another one or maybe rebuilt it again
I don't remember specifics maybe he will chime in

that would scare the crap out of me, worrying about the sc tearing up and the engine inhaling the pieces...

Would the oil really make a difference as long as it was fresh?
