ACT HD is what i have, but the Extreme Duty is the culprit here.
ive pretty much decided on the ACT HD. I have driven ACT's forever and have never had ONE issue with them. So im choosing the ACT because they have not let me down yet. SPEC is junk in my mind, had one of their 4 pucks just fall apart on me. Like the puck carbon pads just broke off the disk alltogether.

+1 on the HardtopGuy recommended setup: ACT HD pressure plate and OEM Honda disc. No ringing, lighter pedal feel than the ACT HD PP + ACT disc (which did ring since it doesn't copy the Honda OEM spring retention). No slippage on mine and I absolutely love the setup.

for anyone that has had problems with crankwalk or related issues due to ACT clutches or other brands.....How many miles were put on the car since the aftermarket clutch was installed??

I need to know because we have 4 total forced inducted s2k's running the ACT extreme pressure plate in my area including mine as 1.....so far no problems have been reported.....just wondering when to start looking for crank issues?
I think i may of had the Ext PP? But not 100%. The pedal pressure was really hard on it. And the heavy PP is what causes the lateral load on the crank. Its been so long since that happened i dont even remember which stage it was. Regaurdless the clutch had less than 5k miles on it, my next motor i went with CM clutch and ran it for over 3 years without any issues. I dont see any reason to choose a ACT clutch over a CM's. But if your pedal pressure isnt too hard then you can assume that the PP isnt putting to much pressure on ur crank.

Horsepower doesn't matter when it comes to clutches, torque does. Any clutch that can hold 300ft/lbs of torque can handle your setup. SPEC are great clutches. I have a stock disc with the ACT pressure plate, and it holds my greddy without breaking a sweat.

I just recently put on a competition clutch stage 4 6 puck sprung. The clutch is great, very drivable, feels like stock to me although it took me a an hour to get use to it. I never did stall once though Only complaint I have with it is the chatter it makes a bit more noise than stock. Also I am not sure if this is related to the clutch or not but I also get a noise which sounds like a circular power saw between 3500-4500 rpm. Anyone have an idea on that?

That, my friend, is the infamous clutch buzz.
