SRap1 youre not getting what Sean's saying....

if he pulls the vac line, he will be losing vac from where ever it came from. so YES, he will have to cap the T or port or wherever that line from the WG connected to.

Why would you CAP anything, simply remove the hose completely(not just disconnect it from the wastegate) then theres nothing to cap.

YES THERE IS. if you take the hose from the vac source, there will be a T or a vac port that will now be open to the world. that will need to be vac capped.

where do you think the wg is getting its pull of vac from? magic? David Blaine is under there telling the wg when to open?

No, the line going to the wg is getting vac and boost pressure from somewhere. and if you remove the line of the wg, the wg needs no capping. but the place where it was getting its vac/boost from is now going to be open. and that part will need a vac cap.

i think youre confused bro.

this is a dumb arguement but im going to continue.... this is why I said remove it completely and there will be nothing left to cap, his vacuum source is most likely coming of an already dedicated line, that would mean its tee'd, make it so its not tee'd anymore, as in put it back to stock, now what would need to be capped?

you could replace the line that is T'd, you could. buy you didnt say R&R, you said "remove and nothing needs to be capped". which would be false.

i didnt see the above post where you said something about running a new line to the boost gauge. i think thats where we crossed. but that may have been my mistake.
either way, we are on the same page bro.
