Removing stock oil "cooler" ?

Removing stock oil "cooler" ?
Those who have removed their cooler, any problems?
I put the "cooler" in quotes b/c it doesn't actually cool from what I can see with coolant lines running to it, I'd assume it's used to warm the oil. Since this car isn't driven in cold weather, I don't beleive I need it, unless someone else can shed some light on it.
I've got the stock oil cooler/then my sandwhich adapter/filter.
It doesn't leave me much room for i/c pipe, always such a TIGHT squeeze.
I pulled the cooler off when I sent the motor out, BUT can I put the sandwhich adapter back on, then the filter?
Curious if it will screw right back on, or what fitting I need.
Anyone?
Thanks

Yup.... Screws right back on with the oem bolt. I'm using the canton racing adapter and no oem cooler. No leaks.
Thanks

A lot of people delete the stock oil heat exchanger.
If you plan on tracking your s2000 (by track I mean road course type racing), then you might want to consider installing an oil cooler.

I kept mine and you might want to keep yours if youre not planning on getting an aftermarket oil cooler. If you think about it, the OEM unit is actually an oil cooler. I say this because the oil will heat up before the coolant will on a really cold day because the oil is getting friction applied to it. So, how could the OEM unit even be described as a heater if the oil heats up before the coolant? I believe leaving it in place helps some to eliminate some of the heat out of the oil.

^ right, but its efficient enough for the oem setup. a big front mount would be leaps and bounds better, but at what cost to the customer ya know?
i say leave it on there bro. honda put it there for a reason, they dont just waste money and design time on unnecessary parts.
