Removing CTSC pulley
Hi Guys,
Can i quickly remove a 7psi pulley from my supercharger without removing much stuff and replace it with a 9psi pulley?
I believe i may need to loosen some things like the SC mounting?
Anyone got any tips/how to do it? and what's briefly involved?
Thanks

What I did was kept the belt on for friction so the pulley didn't move and I removed the bolt from the top. I reinstalled the bolt in the exact same manner after tightening the belt around it. I didn't loosen the s/c mounts at all.

AJ, you have to loosen up all the SC mounting plate bracket bolts and pull it forward almost an 1" to be able to clear the nub that sticks out on the front of the cylinder head. The smaller pulleys will clear the shaft and head and wont be necessary to loosen the SC bracket, but you will have to do it this time with the bigger pulley. Take the SC belt off and use a belt wrench to hold the SC pulley in place to loosen it since the SC belt wont be enough tension, unless the pulley bolt is under trq'ed. Hold your hand under the pulley shaft when you get close to sliding the pulley off the end so you don't loose the shaft key, they usually fall out.
