Has anyone tried this setup on a s before? I have seen one on a 350z for what the guy had into it didn't seem that bad.

Pretty sure you have plenty of room in the engine bay of the s to keep all the turbo components in the bay. I think these kits are designed to fit when there is no other space for it anywhere else. Just my .02

seriously. our engine bay has TONS of room for a turbo
its one thing to put that crap on a ctsv that has no space at all in teh engine bay and wont suffer much at all from turbo lag. its another on a small displacement motor that has tons of room in the bay.

These setups are good for V6's and V8's because they have more volume of air moving from having more cylinders which helps with not too bad of lag. But with a 4 cylinder, there just isnt enough air moving to keep the lag at a minimum. I wouldnt recommend one of these kits for any 4 cylinder car.

Yea these kits are actually not a bad idea, especially for people runing low boost on factory motors. They are very cheap because they dont require a manifold, intercooler or require rearranging your engine bay. Anybody that has installed a turbo kit on the S knows the amount of stuff you have to remove and rearrange to install the kit. It would be kinda of nice to only remove the air box and rear exhaust to install your turbo kit. Thats one of the things I dont like about my engine bay, everything is modded or moved. Oil filter is relocated, oil cooler relocated, heat sheilds are gone, stock header is gone, fuse box is relocated, eps is relocated, battery is in the trunk, heater lines relocated, air conditioner lines bent, air pump modded, crank case vent system modded. There may be some lag, but with a small turbo, how laggy would it be? I wish someone would try it out so we could see.
