Default Recommend Ultimate Emanage?

Alright guys, I have a comptech non ac kit on my ap1 with a 7lb pulley. I went to the dyno today for some tuning with the vafcII. Because of the header back exhaust the car was running kinda lean, around 13.5 at vtec. This was with the fpr maxed out. My tuner said because the vafc cant add fuel he recommends buying larger injectors like 550cc and the ultimate emanage. Anyone have experience with this kinda setup? Do you think this is the best route or should I take another?

the vafc can add fuel... but your injectors may not... what you should do is do some data logging and see the duty cycle of your injectors... if your over 80% you should switch them out!

the VAFC can add fuel on N/A setups, but with the comptech units the ESM clamps the map voltage at 2.9 to prevent the ECU from seeing positive pressure. the VAFC adds fuel by manipulating the map voltage, so adding more would just make the ECU wig out from higher voltage.

from what i read with the vafc and SC tuning is that you increase the fuel pressure a little bit more and subtract fuel with the VAFC. if you are running more than 5/7psi the e-manage + injectors will be a better setup. if you aren't planning on upping the boost i don't see the need. if his fpr is maxed out and he is still running lean(wow?) at only 7psi then he would need to get bigger injectors and the e-manage could control them. AEM is another route, but thats a lot more expensive.

i think the vafc is fine, just upgrade your injectors and get a FPR

I think people are still having problems getting the ultimate to completly work on the car. The blue should work fine.
