i thought you said you got a supplier that could get you the right abec-7 bearings cheap?
I want to make sure that the part numbers are EXACTLY correct before I do anything. I know my blower doesn't need a rebuild, but I just want the parts near me in case there is any sort of drama down the road. I like my piece of mind!

Anymore info?
I want to rebuild my blower but i'd like to see if this route would be any cheaper....
What about the ABEC9 bearings...? Anyone think we could track them down?

i ended up buying the superchargerrebuilds.com ABEC-7 kit for $350. buying the correct size bearings is CHEAP and prices could stay in the double digits for all 4. but buying the correct size bearings that are ABEC-7 rated, the prices became outrageous. i guess buying them in bulk brings the price down, but i have no time or motivation to buy in bulk and start putting together my own rebuild kit. so i ended up buying the kit for $350.
i talked to the guy at superchargerrebuilds.com and also did my research through old posts and i think i have a good idea of what the rebuild entails. i'm going to be doing it next week and i'll be taking detailed pics and posting a thorough DIY since most of the stuff posted here is incomplete or lacking pictures.
i scoured the internet for pictures of the rebuild process of the NOVI 1000 but came up with nothing. there is an album of a NOVI 2000 being rebuilt but there are no explanations along with the pics, and the 2000 isn't identical to the 1000 on the inside.
the only non-readily available tool that seems to be necessary is a bearing press, and i'll have access to one of those during the process.

Sounds good! Thanks!
I'm ordering the ABEC7 Rebuild kit. I would like to do it possibly next weekend so I will try to take pictures as well. I am tempted to spend the extra $200 for the ABEC9 but I dont really know what I would get out of it LOL

I'm extremely interested in this thread. I'm looking to rebuild mine over the winter. I enjoy doing all my work myself, and I've done quite a bit more than I ever figured I would know how to. New head, timing chain, S/C install, other engine goodies. Learning how to rebuild a supercharger would be a great experience.
While I'm rebuilding it, can I go ahead and paint it like the SOS kit?

i sanded the impeller housing yesterday. i guess at one point in time when it was new it was a mirror polished finish like everyone else's, but it just looked ugly with little scratches all over it and it was dull. i sanded it down and it looks SO much brighter although it's probably not as reflective. i think i'm going to keep it this way. it's a nice machined look.
Mine been rebuilt once before, even has a pretty tag on it from Paxton. I don't think it actually needs rebuilt, but I want the experience, like I said.
I might pull the housing off when I paint my valvecover (that also looks like it went through a war), sand it down and blast it a few times with wrinkle black
