S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

REALLY weird AFR pattern.

Default REALLY weird AFR pattern.

Since this comptech SC I've been having AFR issues left and right.

I went on a mission today to figure it out and street tune it.

I do 5 pulls and everything seems fine?? 6th pull, 15.4 AFR and NO POWER. I pull over and keep her running and turn the Comptech screw down, still lean, up still lean, all the way down.... No effect. No power too suggesting I am running really dangerously lean and making NO power.

I shut the car off and fill up at the gas station... BAM 12.4 AFR and I'm fine, 4th run lean again. Turn FPR up and down and up... Nothing. So I give up.

As I am driving home I realize, wait a minute, let me pull over and turn it off and back on.... BAM, 12.4AFR greets me with power too. I do it 2 more times each time it gets lean and on/off cycle fixes it. I don't even touch the Comptech FPR.

WTF?

What kind of management do you have.

I thought fpr stood for fuel pressure regulator since he said that he tried ajusting it but was still lean.

Yep,

Comptech Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator.

No ecu.

Check your fuel pressure. Pick up a $25 gauge and fitting on eBay. When you put in your Walbro, what clamps did you use? Stock? Worm? Fuel specific?

Where was the gauge reading when you filled up?

I knew someone that couldn't get high pressure using the stock clamps because they would expand.

I noticed in my setup that the AFR was lean 0.2-0.3 because the stock worn clamp left a flat spot on the hose to where fuel would seep out.

Did you use a new fuel hose and fuel specific clamps?

Possible housing filter clog? Either way, check the fuel pressure.

Didn't you have a fuel leak problem recently too?

No more gas smell, I think it was the gas cap.

I reused all of the old OEM parts when I dropped in the Full Blown 340 Fuel Pump and made sure everything was tight.

I don't have fuel pressure gauge on the rail, how would I check my fuel pressure anyways at higher RPMs?

Spoke with CT-Engineering. Will be doing Fuel Pressure Gauge first. Then send CT-E RFPR to them to have it rebuilt. If that doesn't fix it. Might be injectors. We know its not the fuel pump or AFR gauge at that.

if turning the car off/on fixes the problem maybe the ecu is compensating for the mixture? maybe the map clamp isnt working and the car still thinks its in closed loop?
